National Archives of India Celebrates 135th Foundation Day


The National Archives of India (NAI) recently celebrated its 135th Foundation Day with a grand exhibition titled Indian Heritage through Architecture.

About the National Archives of India The National Archives of India (NAI) is the premier repository of the non-current records of the Government of India, holding them in trust for administrators, scholars, and the public.

Established in 1891 as the Imperial Record Department in Kolkata, it was later moved to New Delhi in 1911. It is now located at the intersection of Janpath and Kartavya Path in the capital.
